The SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) Intermediary at National Able Network partners with organizations
across Illinois to increase community impact and strengthen employment programs.
Partners that provide job training, education, and support services to individuals receiving SNAP benefits may be eligible for
reimbursement of up to 50% of select program and service costs.
“The SNAP program has afforded us the opportunity to provide direct support services for SNAP participants. We are able to get reimbursement for their uniforms and work boots, ServSafe and Forklift Certifications, transporta- tion, interview attire, emer- gency utility bill payment assistance, furniture from the Chicago Furniture Bank, CompTia training, testing, and fees. This is a valuable asset for our participants as the majority are returning citizens and/or suffering from homelessness.”
