Did you know that the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is the only workforce program designed to address the needs of workers aged 55+? National Able Network offers the SCSEP program across several states, including Nebraska – where the program is growing in popularity. Recently 94.7 FM Blair Radio host Kelly Johnson interviewed Cheri Czerwinski, SCSEP Career Coach, to discuss exactly how SCSEP is helping older adults gain the confidence and skills to re-enter the workforce in Omaha.

During the interview, Cheri highlighted how SCSEP benefits both older workers and local organizations. From nonprofits like museums and libraries to local businesses, the program connects older adults with hands-on experience while earning a paycheck. Beyond job training, SCSEP boosts confidence, renews purpose, and supports participants throughout their job search.

Whether someone is looking to re-enter the workforce after a time away, explore a new field, or stay engaged in their community, SCSEP opens the door to new possibilities.

We’re so proud of Cheri for sharing her insight—and even more proud of the life-changing work SCSEP continues to do every day. Learn more here.
