Darryl serves as a Vice President, Financial Advisor for Bernstein Private Wealth Management. As a Financial Advisor, he is responsible for providing investment and wealth planning advice to individuals and families and their trusts, estates, foundations, endowments and pension plans. In conjunction with Bernstein’s Wealth Planning and Analysis Group, he provides counsel to clients and their professional advisors on a variety of matters, including tax and estate planning, multigenerational asset allocation, individual and corporate retirement planning, and the sale of closely held businesses.
Darryl served as managing director for Point Capital Markets, LLC from 2012-2014. Always forward thinking, he crystalized the Partnership’s mission and strategic vision and created an inaugural business development roadmap and operational infrastructure to close the firm’s first private placement. His efforts resulted in a scalable and structured framework for future client engagements.
Darryl was co-founder and managing partner of MindStare, LLC from 2006-2011. He was hired to build the strategic business plan and operational infrastructure to launch a proprietary technology for the equities and futures market. His expansive analytical expertise enabled him to develop and deploy a 10-step risk mitigation model to more strategically align his firm’s offerings with market needs.
Darryl served in the U.S. Army as First Lieutenant/Firing Platoon Leader from 1994-1997. He supervised and coordinated training and deployment of fifty-five soldiers and non-commissioned officers and was ranked in the top 1% of all officers. During his time of service, Darryl was commended by the United Kingdom’s Minister of Defense, for dedication and professionalism.
Darryl received his Bachelor of Science (BS), in Mathematical Economics with a Minor in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. Darryl was the recipient of numerous leadership and athletic recognitions which included the United States Army’s commendation and the Army Achievement & St. Barbara’s Medals for Outstanding Platoon Leadership; as well as West Point’s Superintendent’s Award for Academic/Leadership and Physical Excellence. Darryl received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
Darryl holds professional certifications in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 31, 63, and 66 and is a member of numerous alumni, professional, and networking groups.
