Tina Rembert was unemployed for the second time ever. She had been a successful National Able Network client in the past, and she knew the value available to her, so she knew exactly what to do. Tina re-applied and was accepted into the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program!
As a professional with plenty of project management experience, Tina previously attempted to complete the coursework required for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by other means. This time she decided to pursue her PMP certification through National Able Network, while updating her job search skill in the process.
Tina participated in many workshops and training opportunities. She even attended a job fair her career coach Stephanie Mena recommended. However, as Tina re-enrolled in the PMP certification program, she began to connect with many prospective career opportunities. Her participation in job search workshops prepared Tina to attend interviews with confidence.
Tina found the right opportunity for her and is currently employed as an Implementation Manager! She also successfully completed the PMP certification course and is in the process of taking the final certification exam.
Advice Tina would like to share with fellow job seekers is, “If you’re not getting calls, it’s because of the resume…if you’re not landing a job, it’s because of the interview skills. You have to be able to do a self-check!”
