New Employee Helping to “Grant” Careers!
February 23, 2017 Non-profit, Workforce 4

Hello, blog readers! My name is Megan Henning and I am the new Development Manager at National Able Network! In this role, my primary focus will be on grant writing. I am excited for my new venture with Able, and I’m looking forward to being part of the Marketing and Development team.
I have five years of experience in the non-profit sector. I previously worked with Boys & Girls Clubs, managing a variety of fundraising initiatives in their development office including individual giving, corporate funding, capital campaigns, grant writing and special events. Prior to Boys & Girls Clubs, I was in the for profit sector for five years working in marketing and business development. I have a passion for fundraising, driving new revenue sources and strategic planning.
My fellow Able co-workers have been great! It is a very friendly and inviting work environment. I am engulfing myself in learning about each program offered and I anticipate wonderful possibilities with this agency. Outside of work, I enjoy backpacking and traveling. I also have love for animals and I enjoy volunteering in my community.

I am also retired(semi) yet out of work. Work in medical technology for over twenty years. I want something part time that I can get my energy charged again. I am a quick Lerner and very flexible with assignments.
Can you offer any suggestions about which way I can direct my energy?!!!
