Hello National Able Network blog readers! My name is Lloret De Mar Pelayo and I’m the new Digital Media Copywriter here at National Able Network.
I’ve come a long way since joining this amazing team. My career began in a tiny, green bungalow turned advertising agency in Ybor City, Florida. At this agency, I learned the ins and outs of teamwork, as well as the value of research and brainstorming sessions. Eventually, I moved down to Miami and joined an agency with a client list that served companies from California to Argentina. It was quite the experience, but, I wanted to try something a bit different, and so I acquired my real estate license.
Although working in commercial real estate was challenging and rewarding, my love and curiosity for digital advertising and writing never dwindled. So after traveling for a bit, and doing some soul searching, I decided to make the jump back into the industry for good. This time, I wanted to work at a non-profit organization, and that is when I applied to work at National Able Network.
When I interviewed with National Able Network’s Communication Manager, Megan Hammond, she mentioned that what she loves most about the agency is hearing each client’s unique success story. At that moment, I realized that National Able Network was where I wanted to work! If I can play even a tiny role in helping someone become successful in his or her career, then I’ve made a difference and that’s what matters most to me.
In my current role as Digital Media Copywriter, I’m looking forward to communicating with our stakeholders and reaching out to individuals looking to start their career paths through National Able Network. Even though I definitely miss that 80-degree weather and warm sunshine in Florida, there is truly no place like Chicago! I’m glad to be here and I’m excited to get started in this new position!
