It would be safe to say there has never been a dull year at National Able Network and this one has been no exception. We welcomed three impressive C-level professionals to our Board of Directors, 27 new staff to our program teams, and the entire state of Delaware (well, half of it anyway) to our geographical footprint. But what has been most gratifying are the wonderful advances in customer service made possible by a team committed to compassionate, high-quality employment services for our clients.
We got serious about business development this year and expect to build on our early successes in IT, retail, and related sector placements by adding additional experts in this area in our upcoming program year. The goal is always to grow our base of repeat employer customers while focusing on setting clients on career paths such that our job seekers are not repeat clients. The workforce services team has become especially adept at staging large-scale hiring events for employers that result in ever-improving interview-to-hire ratios. In other words, a lot of people are getting jobs! One reason they are getting IT jobs is IT Career Lab. Enrollments were up 25 percent this year to 115, and 95 percent of graduates are successfully earning the professional certifications employers are seeking.
The new year promises to be an exciting ride. For the first time in more years than most of us can remember, the national Senior Community Service Employment Program is out to bid and with it, the prospect of significant change and growth. National Able Network is also working to introduce new technologies to support full and painless services access across multiple programs and to enable creative business plans for rapid, cost-effective expansion in areas like Veterans Forward. In the meantime, look for us in the news and on the web as we roll out new services and share inspiring stories of client success throughout the year. As always, thanks to all of our patient and supportive funders, generous donors, and impassioned board and staff for making the mission of National Able Network a reality.
