Erin-Dail Plunkett spent nearly a year looking for work with no success. She was getting interviews, but not job offers. With a strong work history and valuable experience, Erin felt discouraged about not receiving job offers after interviewing time and time again. She was convinced that being a senior was affecting her job search and the way she was viewed by employers. When Erin came to National Able Network, she felt frustrated and discouraged, but was willing to do what was necessary to find employment.

Erin was enrolled in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) and began Able’s Job Readiness Training to enhance her job search skills. After a few weeks, Erin felt that the training was helping her significantly and was excited to use the myriad of skills she learned in her upcoming interviews! After a few interviews, Erin was offered a job in administrative support at a local manufacturing company! Erin accepted the position and is very happy that she’s employed at a company that values her experience and maturity.

Erin is grateful to Able for allowing her to see that age isn’t always the only barrier to unemployment. She credits the amazing training she received as one of the main reasons for not only finding a job, but a job that she loves!

Congratulations to you, Erin!
