Newest Finance Team Member “Adds” to Success!

My name is Christa Specht and I am the new Accounting Clerk at National Able Network (Able)! At the beginning of my career at Able, I was hired as a part-time temporary employee, and was on-boarded in November as a full-time employee. This position is a completely different pace for me, however, I have enjoyed my experience so far.
Prior to coming to Able, I was in a management position in the finance industry for several years. I cherish my time spent in that career, but it was not personally fulfilling for me. I decided to take some time off from work and reflected on my future and my career goals. I started looking into applying for careers in the nonprofit sector, but received feedback that I didn’t have enough nonprofit experience. But as luck would have it, I was soon referred to a position at Able and they took a chance on me!
I believe everything happens for a reason and I am so grateful for my time at Able. This team has given me experience and exposure to the accounting world and the type of support that is conducive to growing and developing skills. I am excited to keep learning more from every touch point, while supporting Able’s mission to prepare today’s communities to meet tomorrow’s challenges. It feels great to be a part of an organization that values both their clients and their employees!
