Dean Stallworth enrolled in IT Career Lab to increase his technology skills and begin a career in the fast-growing field of Information Technology. Three weeks into the class, Dean was offered a full-time position, and chose to leave the program.  However, as it was his goal to earn his CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Networking Entry Technician (CCENT), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications, Dean preserved and was actively engaged in class while also balancing his studies, work life and home life.

Dean displayed drive, dedication, and perseverance toward his goals, keeping up with his assignments and communicating with his instructor and the IT Career Lab staff.  During his time in IT Career Lab, Dean found himself unemployed again, but that did not stop him from striving to be successful in his career path.  Not only did Dean earn his CompTIA Network+, CCENT, and CCNA certifications — each on the first attempt, to boot! — he also landed an internship with National Able Network!

Dean continued to go on job interviews while studying for his final certification and working at his internship.  He graduated from IT Career Lab in early October 2014.  Later that same month, Dean secured full-time employment as an IT Support Specialist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital!

We are so very proud of everything Dean has accomplished!  Congratulations on a job well done!

The next IT Career Lab class start date is Tuesday, February 17, 2015. To learn more about IT Career Lab, please call 855-994-8300 or click here.
