Another Great Year for Job Readiness Training at National Able Network
July 29, 2014 IT Career Lab, Senior Services, Training, Veterans Forward, Workforce 0

This past program year (ending June 30, 2014) is the third program year in a row that Job Readiness Training attendance has exceeded the previous year’s attendance, with this year’s total exceeding 2600 attendees! In addition to serving more people, we’ve also expanded the training catalog to include workshops geared toward job retention.
The top two new additions were ‘Providing Exceptional Customer Service’ and ‘Harmony in the Workplace.’ The ‘Providing Exception Customer Service’ workshop provides a holistic look at customer service which includes concepts and skills related to dealing with internal and external customers. “Harmony in the Workplace’ focuses on problem solving skills and tips for working as a team. It also explores strategies for effectively working within a cross generational team environment.
The training team is already in the midst of updating current content as well as developing some new content. Look for two new workshops coming soon: ‘Making a Great Impression on the Job: What you can do in the first 30 days to make a positive impact’ and ‘Office Survival Skills: Computer skills you need to know’ to be offered in the near future!
