Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Khalid Qazi joined National Able Network, Inc., in October 2003 as Controller. Mr. Qazi is responsible for developing and reviewing budgets to National Able Network’s financial operations. He organizes all processes of internal and external reporting requirements for the agency. Mr. Qazi is in charge of managing the accounting staff members, providing monthly budget reports to enable the agency to make accurate decisions, and working on the development of the annual budget. He manages the mandated reporting requirements to the agency’s funders. Mr. Qazi serves as the first point of contact for the auditors, and communicates with them to ensure efficient responses to all inquiries. He supports the agency’s fundraising efforts through the provision of timely and accurate information for reporting purposes. Mr. Qazi leads the development process of analytical strategies that successfully impact the agency. Recognizing his consistent high-level performance of financial risk management for National Able Network, Mr. Qazi was elevated to Chief Financial Officer in November 2011.
Mr. Qazi possesses an extensive background in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. He previously worked as manager of Financial Reporting to Children’s Home & Aid Society of Illinois where he supervised the accounting staff members, ensured compliance with the funding source reporting requirements and developed analytic tools, reports, controls and reconciliations for the team members. Mr. Qazi has served as manager of American Express Tax and Business Services, where he prepared projections and forecasts, monthly analysis of variances, and consolidated financial reports for external reporting. He worked for Arthur Andersen, LLP for more than five years as senior staff at Jane Addams Hull House Association and coordinated the regulatory reporting of the Department of Children & Family Services.
Mr. Qazi earned his BBA in Accounting from Robert Morris College in 2002 and bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Karachi in 1991.
