Training sites must agree: To consider any participant for all training openings for which that participant qualifies, and employ the participant in his/her current position (or a similar one) if funds are available. To encourage and assist the participant in his/her ongoing job search. To provide an orientation regarding the training site, its activities, and the participant’s day-to-day responsibilities. To provide a copy of the training assignment description to the participant and immediate supervisor before the participant's placement at the site or by the first day of work. To provide supervision and training as outlined in the training assignment
description. To permit the participant to attend required meetings and training provided by National Able Network and, when practical, furnish transportation for the participant. To make no changes in a participant’s work schedule, tasks, supervisor, place of work, or status without notification/approval of National Able Network. To report to the SCSEP staff any difficulties that cannot be satisfactorily resolved or which could hinder completion of the training plan. To assist in the monitoring and evaluation processes by conferring with the project monitor during his/her visits or contacts. To furnish any tools, equipment, and supplies required by the participant to perform his/her assignments. To provide National Able Network with time and attendance records, activity reports/evaluations (when requested), and accurate in-kind contribution records on a timely basis. To provide safe, sanitary and drug-free working conditions, and any necessary employee liability coverage; to the extent required by law, comply with section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. To report all on-the-job accidents by calling National Able Network within 24 hours, complete a supervisor’s accident report, and provide all requested follow-up. To ensure that participants work only the total number of hours authorized by National Able Network. Volunteer or over-time hours are prohibited. If hours in excess of authorized hours are worked, whether by agency request or volunteered by the participant, the training site shall be solely responsible for wages as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act. To attend training site supervisor’s meetings as scheduled by National Able Network. To not displace any current employee or volunteer with a participant, nor assign a participant to perform the tasks of an employee on layoff, nor replace a federally funded position (other than SCSEP) with a participant. To not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, age, political affiliation or opinion, sexual orientation, or ancestry. To ensure compliance with SCSEP’s nepotism policy. To not use participants in any activity that could be construed as political in nature, or that will benefit any private profit-making organization, or that is involved with the maintenance, operation or construction of any facility to be used as a place of sectarian religious instruction or worship. To support transfer to another site that can provide participant with new/increased skills, enabling the participant to achieve his/her goals.
