Able Job PostingsContract Instructors - Adult EducationAble Career Institute® (ACI), a division of National Able Network, Inc., an innovative and dynamic nonprofit provider of employment and training programs, seeks experienced adult education instructors with demonstrated success to work on a contract basis at its conveniently located downtown site. We seek dedicated professionals to teach GED, ESL and ABE courses to a very diverse population with wide ranging education and ability levels. Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree ideally in education or related and a minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience teaching GED, ABE and/or ESL classes to adults in a classroom setting. Outstanding communication, writing, presentation, and organizational skills are required as are high energy, creativity, and computer proficiency. Applicants must be self-starters who can work independently as well as part of a team. Strong service orientation and interpersonal abilities are necessary to comfortably and successfully interact with a very diverse population. Multi-lingual skills (English, Spanish, and/or Chinese) preferred. Flexibility to work days, evenings and/or weekends would be ideal.
