The Veterans-to-Manufacturing program provides no-cost training, career placement assistance, and paid on-the-job training in the manufacturing industry exclusively for Illinois Veterans. This opportunity will connect veterans to careers that offer 16% higher wages than other industries! Veterans enrolled in the program will participate in hands-on training in fields such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operations and Welding at the Jane Addams Resource Corporation.
HOMELESS VETERANS REINTEGRATION PROGRAM (HVRP)
National Able Network provides housing assistance and career counseling, training, and placement assistance to homeless veterans under the US Department of Labor Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP). VETERANS NAVIGATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (VNAP)
National Able Network's Veterans Navigation Assistance Program meets the needs of veterans through a comprehensive service delivery model which addresses personal and professional barriers common among veterans. The integrated program is designed to meet the needs of veterans of all branches, ages, and stages of their career. From one-on-one assistance in securing safe and stable housing to helping veterans translate DD Form 214 and their G.I. Bill benefits and providing career placement assistance. The Veterans Navigation Assistance Program is funded through the Robert R. McCormick Foundation Veterans Program.
COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT (CSBG) - TRANSITIONAL JOBS PROGRAM
National Able Network's Transitional Jobs Program focuses on veterans who are faced with barriers that are associated with entering a new industry, gaps in employment, lack of understanding as to how military skills transfer to civilian jobs and the need for intensive training and supervision. The program includes specialized job coaching, workplace mentoring, natural workplace supports, customized training, and linkages to supportive services to meet basic needs. The Community Service Block Grant Transitional Jobs Program is funded through the Chicago Department of Family & Support Services.
